Satellite Images Suggest Strike on Israeli Air Base Hangar
A low-resolution satellite image reportedly taken on Monday shows what appears to be damage at the site. The analysis noted that the image “shows a dark spot where the hangar was located,” when compared with earlier imagery from June 5, according to reports citing the assessment.
The findings suggested that the hangar “may have been hit during the escalation with Iran.” However, the analysis stressed that it remains uncertain what was inside the structure at the time and what level of damage, if any, occurred.
The Israeli military has not issued any official comment regarding the claims.
Iranian forces stated on Sunday that they had launched ballistic missiles targeting the Ramat David Airbase, describing the operation as retaliation for Israeli strikes on civilians in southern Lebanon and in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Tensions intensified over the weekend after Israel carried out strikes on the Lebanese capital despite a ceasefire in place. In response, Iran fired missiles toward northern Israel, prompting Israeli forces to conduct multiple waves of airstrikes against Iranian targets.
The escalation continued into Monday before Iran’s military announced a halt to its attacks on Israel, while warning of a “crushing” response if Israeli operations in Lebanon persist.
