Drone Attack in Southern Lebanon Kills Israeli Military Doctor

(MENAFN) According to reports, the Israeli military said that one of its personnel was killed and several others were wounded in an explosive drone attack in southern Lebanon.

The army identified the deceased as Capt. Uri Yosef Silvester, 30, from Tel Aviv, who served in the Shaked Battalion of the Givati Brigade.

Officials said the incident occurred when an explosive-laden drone struck forces operating in the area, resulting in multiple casualties among soldiers on the ground.

In the same attack, two officers and one soldier were reported to have sustained serious injuries, while another soldier was moderately wounded. Additional personnel, including two officers and a soldier, were also lightly injured, according to military statements.

The incident comes amid continued cross-border hostilities in southern Lebanon, where military exchanges have intensified in recent weeks.
