Provided by AGPThe US State Department identified the targeted individuals as close associates of KS International Traders and its owner, both operating out of India.
"Sanctioned online pharmacies like KS International Traders, based in India, have sold hundreds of thousands of counterfeit prescription pills laced with illicit fentanyl to unsuspecting victims across the United States," the department said in its statement.
Authorities further noted that KS International Traders generated substantial revenue through fentanyl trafficking — a drug that US President Donald Trump has formally designated a "Weapon of Mass Destruction."
The State Department framed the move as a reflection of a broader bilateral commitment, saying the action underscored the United States' and India's "enduring and shared commitment to dismantling illicit drug entities."
"Those complicit in poisoning Americans will be denied entry to the United States," it added.
The announcement signals Washington's intensifying crackdown on international networks suspected of fueling the US fentanyl crisis, with overseas-based online pharmacies emerging as a growing front in that effort.
