NASA Official Denounces Kim Kardashian’s Moon Landing Remarks
(MENAFN) Acting NASA Administrator and US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy on Thursday dismissed reality TV star Kim Kardashian’s assertion that American astronauts never set foot on the Moon, affirming that the United States accomplished the feat six times.
In a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kardashian questioned the legitimacy of the 1969 Apollo 11 mission, remarking, “They’re gonna say I’m crazy no matter what, but like, go to TikTok. See for yourself. […] There’s no gravity on the Moon. Why is the flag blowing?”
Addressing the claim on social media platform X, Duffy stated, “We’ve been to the Moon before… six times!”
He also highlighted that NASA’s Artemis initiative is preparing to return astronauts to the lunar surface “under the leadership of President Donald Trump.”
Duffy concluded his message with a confident note, asserting, “We won the last space race and we will win this one too.”
